Children's cup and plate set

Decorative plate and cup set

We’ve been seeing more toadstool images cropping up in home accessories recently and this nicely designed plate and cup set is just one example.

Made from bone china, the matching set features a simple image of two toadstools and bluebells, with birds flying overhead.

The toadstool design plate and cup set is sold by Too Much Too Young for £24, but items can be bought individually if required.

Recycled wine bottle dish from EcoOutlet

Saturday, February 13th, 2010
EcoOutlet glass dish made from a recycled wine bottle

Once a bottle...now a dish

We love finding good examples of recycled homewares and this is one of them.

Once upon a time, this was a wine bottle, but thanks to the power of recycling, it’s been transformed into a glass serving dish.

The character of the wine bottle remains – it doesn’t take long to spot what it was in its past life – but it’s now perfect for serving small nibbles, such as olive, tapas or nuts.

The recycled wine bottle serving dish is sold by EcoOutlet.

Ceramic milk carton jug

Realistic milk carton made from ceramic

Funky milk jug

It looks like a milk carton, but it’s actually ceramic.

This realistically designed ceramic milk carton works jolly well as a milk jug and is a quirky accessory to have in your kitchen.

It’s made from cream glazed ceramic and has blue or green handpainted lettering on it.

Buy it from Sorbet Living on Not On The High Street.

One of the current trends in UK home accessories is the Union Jack. It’s been used in all sorts of products, including cushions, mugs, tea towels and art.

Too much of it in your house can look thoroughly over done, but the odd piece dotted around does look good. These Union Jack products are all created by British designers, Pearl and Earl.

The Union Jack Blossom tea towel is £6, the laundry bag is £16 and the Union Jack Blossom mug is £8.

They’re all available from Pearl and Earl, along with lots of other unique British products, including their iconic camper van range.
