If you love the vintage or shabby chic style of interior design and decorating, then you’ll most likely love The Orchard.
The Orchard is a specialist vintage inspired homeware and gift boutique and their website is brimming with inspiring products to help you add style and charm to your home.
As part of our Shop Showcase series, we’ve chosen our top 10 product picks from The Orchard.
These spool wall hangers, costing £10 each, are pretty unusual and a fun way of brightening up a room. Each spool is made of antiqued effect wood and there are six different designs.
As towel rails go this is one of the most unusual we have seen. Shaped like a wooden ladder the towel rail has a distressed look. The dimensions are 180x66x5 and the cost is £100.
If you need somewhere to put your coats, more often than not you need somewhere to put shoes as well. This coat stand combines both. Prices at £132 it has six gold knobbed coat hooks at the top, six mid height coat hooks as well as two mid height rails, a shelf and a shoe rack. As the picture shows you can even fit in wellies.
Several suggestions are given about what to use this wooden trough platter for – storing fruit, pot pourri, serving bread. We like the idea of serving bread on it, in order to show it off on the dining table. The price is very reasonable – £18, and the wood is stunning looking.
Made of antique white painted wood this Bergere Cheval mirror is a full length mirror in a French style. The cost is £155.
This Brocante cathedral mirror is very different from the full length mirror – more modern in style. The pine frames are painted, aged and distressed and come in a selection of colours, adding a modern take on an old design. The Orchard sells the mirror for £348.
As part of their Aged Ceramics Garden Collection the Orchard sells this blue and white aged ceramic bird bath for £24. It is made of glazed stoneware with a weathered blue and white classic design.
The rustic tea light chandelier is in the garden section of the website, but in reality it can bused inside or out. It could be hung over a dinner table or in a kitchen or conservatory. Alternatively, on a warm summer’s evening it could be hung in the garden, from a tree perhaps. The chandelier is priced at £40.
You really don’t have to be a seamstress to appreciate this vintage full length mannequin. It is gorgeous, and if sewing isn’t your thing you could still have it for putting clothes on or even just because it looks good. Made of iron, with a distressed paint finish the mannequin costs £115.
Memo holders and notice boards are becoming more innovative. We love this gold wire birdcage memo holder costing £39. A little bird sits at the top of the cage and small pegs are used to clip notes.
