Christmas is the time when we really make an effort with the dining table. Houses which have rarely seen a table cloth all year will be beautifully set with Christmas table cloths, candles, name plates, the full works. Whether you like to just add a few extras to the table or go the full hog, here are some ideas of what is on the market this Christmas.
Festive Lights sells this beautiful 180cm red and gold table runner with tassels, perfect for running the length of the table at Christmas. There are three different designs, all broadly similar, and Festive Lights will send out one of the three. The price is £9.99 for the runner.
We thought £6.95 was a good price for this set of six gold glass bauble place card holders from Favour Fairy. Favour Fairy mainly sells wedding favours, but also stocks Christmas favours and decorations. The glass baubles are 4cm high and each set consists of two of the three designs.
We also like this Rocking Rudolf confetti from Favour Fairy. Confetti might not normally be on your ‘must buy for Christmas list’ but for £2.95 it is worth adding it. In the pack are mini Rudolfs and snowdots.
Here is another rather innovative idea – Woodland wonder glass place cards. You place them on the edge of a glass to welcome your guests. John Lewis sells the packs for £2.50.
So Raise your Glass sells party and table decorations for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, christenings and Christmas. This sugar pine Christmas tablecloth is 70 by 104 inches and is priced at £48. A large white tree design is emobroidered along the bottom edge of the tablecloth with snowflakes embroidered in the centre.
It is not just the long winter nights which make candles more appealing. There are some great Christmas candles on the market this year. Here is a set of candles from Christmas Table Accessories which is actually an electric light. The seven white candles sit on a red wooden bridge and costs £9.97.
Party Pieces has a good selection of Christmas accessories. Here is their green and red holly centrepiece costing £2.99. The holly sits in a red covered foil weight – beautiful.
Bunting seems to have made a come back. Favour Fairy sell this Christmas cheer ribbon bunting. The 1.5m bunting is made up of mini Santas reindeers and candy cane flags. The price of the bunting is £4.99.
We were looking for a nice Chrismtas platter when we came across this Christmas Santa platter. Granted it is made of cardboard but it does look perfect for putting Santa’s food out on. Measuring 30cm by 18cm the platter has a message for Santa and room for his drink, mincepie and Rudolf’s carrot. Party Parade sells it for £2.29.
Roman at Home sells these silver Christmas tree napkin rings for £3.25 each. The Christmas design looks elegant and fits with any colour of napkin.
