Mmm, who doesn’t love a good biscuit?
If you’ve got biscuits at home or work for elevenses in the morning or to serve with an afternoon cup of tea, you’ll need somewhere to store them to keep them in prime biscuity condition.
If you’re in the market for a new biscuit tin, look no further. We’ve rounded up some of our favourite tins on the market, and they’re suitable for all shapes and sizes of biscuits and cookies.
Lakeland sells this underground lines storage tin for £7.99, brought out by Bliss, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the opening of the London underground. The multicoloured tin is 10cm by 16.5cm, and features each of the London underground lines.
Here’s one for the Bourbon cream fans – a Bourbon biscuit tin – yum! It’s available for £13.50 from Not on the High Street.
We were really impressed with this square biscuit tin from Asda. At a cost of £5 you really can’t go wrong. The red tin is made of powder coated steel, with black writing on the front.
John Lewis have the right idea with this set of four Orla Kiely multi stem cracker and biscuit tins set. You can separate your crackers from your biscuits, chocolate biscuits from the plain ones. The cost of the set is £36.50.
Another simple looking tin is this cream enamel biscuit storage tin, £9.99 from the Gifted Penguin. Measuring 30.5cm by 10cm by 10cm, it can store plenty of biscuits.
We have included this heritage chocolate chunk biscuit tin from Harrods because, although it is sold full of biscuits, it really is a delightful looking tin and is very striking looking. The price is £8.50.
We love this Miss Fifties tea and biscuit tin collection from Not on the High Street. The retro set has a real vintage feel about it, with a picture of a Fifties housewife on the front of each tin. The ‘sucre’ biscuit tin costs £18.
We love the colours on this Guilty Pleasures biscuit tin. It has the delighful image of a girl holding a cake, with a grey background and pink polka dots. Not on the High Street sell the rectangular tin for £14.50.
Garden Trading sell this gorgeous square biscuit tin in flint or blue for £24. Traditional in style, it is made of powder coated steel and has chrome handles. A nice classic design that will fit in well with many a kitchen design.
This ECP Design Ltd coffee break mobile biscuit tin is available from Mayfair for £8.91. Retro in design, it features 8 different vehicles. Apart from the appeal of the design, we liked this one because of its shape. If you are short of cupboard space rectangular tins are good becasue you can fit more of them in the cupboard. This could be one for the motoring fans!
Now, anyone for a cup of tea and a biscuit?
