Crazy Daisy storage
We love the Portmeirion Crazy Daisy design of homewares – it’s fresh, modern and funky.
There are loads of products available in the range, but for storage purposes, these storage jars are great.
The small storage jar is in the sale at Leekes, where it’s currently reduced to £14.50.
They also have the Portmeirion Crazy Daisy mug for £4.50, the Crazy Daisy plate for £8.50 and a set of six Crazy Daisy coasters for £6.

Large cup planters
These fun polka dot cups may look like drinking vessels, but they’re actually garden planters.
Suitable for use indoors or outside in the garden, the cup planters are large enough to hold several plants or bulbs and make a more interesting alternative to a plain old plant pot.
Available in a choice of either blue and white polka dots, or pink and white polka dots, you’ll find the oversized cup planters available at I Want One of Those.

Decorative stone heart
It may be relatively small in size, but this white alabaster stone heart is the perfect decorative accessory. Use it as a paperweight to hold down loose papers, pop it on a dressing table, or give it as a gift to someone you love.
The decorative design on the heart is in the shape of a rose and it’s available from Graham and Green for £8.95.

- A peep of chickens
These quirky handmade chicken doorstops are crafted out of remnants of vintage fabrics.
As a special offer from Love Eco, if you buy a peep of four chickens, you get four for the price of three, saving you £13 on the usual price.
Each chicken doorstop measures 15cm by 16cm and comes unfilled – just fill it up with rice when you receive it.
If you don’t need four doorstops yourself, then they could be split and given to friends as presents – they’d be the perfect Easter gift and a more longer lasting choice than chocolate.
The chicken doorstops have quite a following – there’s even a ‘Love Me, Love My Chicken’ group on Facebook, where you can share picture of your chickens in their new home!

Once a bottle...now a dish
We love finding good examples of recycled homewares and this is one of them.
Once upon a time, this was a wine bottle, but thanks to the power of recycling, it’s been transformed into a glass serving dish.
The character of the wine bottle remains – it doesn’t take long to spot what it was in its past life – but it’s now perfect for serving small nibbles, such as olive, tapas or nuts.
The recycled wine bottle serving dish is sold by EcoOutlet.

Funky milk jug
It looks like a milk carton, but it’s actually ceramic.
This realistically designed ceramic milk carton works jolly well as a milk jug and is a quirky accessory to have in your kitchen.
It’s made from cream glazed ceramic and has blue or green handpainted lettering on it.
Buy it from Sorbet Living on Not On The High Street.

Ben de Lisi cushion
Cushions are one of my favourite home accessories and are great for accessorizing your sofa, chairs or bedrooms.
This bold and bright polka dot cushion by designer, Ben de Lisi, would be a wonderful way of adding more colour into a room.
The large polka dots woud easily catch the eye and it could definitely brighten up a tired or dull looking corner.
The red polka dot Ben de Lisi cushion is available from Debenhams for £10.

Make your own lollies
I know it’s not exactly the perfect weather for eating ice cold ice lollies, but by the time the sun has arrived, you can guarantee you’ll not be able to find a decent lolly mould when you want it!
This is not just any old lolly mould though – it’s a blue melamine butterfly design lolly mould.
The set of four, in pale blue, is available from Laura Ashley, where it’s priced at £2.94.
