Made from American oakwood with a natural finish, these Linea napkin rings come in a set of four – £10 for the set. Because of the oakwood they are not dishwasher safe so need to be handwashed. They are available from House of Fraser.

7. Set of two silver napkin rings

8. Tower of napkin rings

These maple wood rings are bright and come in different colours and shapes, so as well as looking good on the table you can stack them up neatly at the end. Scandi Living sells the set for £49.95.

These red napkin holders are handmade and are really quite stunning looking. Made in a twisted arrow shape they are a very reasonable £1.99 each from Riad Hikaya.

10. Personlised blackboard napkin tie place name

These personalised blackboard napkin tie place names are pretty unique. Of course they are primarily napkin holders, but the fact that you can write the guests’ names on each one makes it that little bit special. Not on the High Street sell them for £2.95 each.
