The market in Christmas trees is adapting to our varying tastes and different lifestyles. The days of only being able to get a green tree of a standard height are gone. Some people only have room for a very small tree, whilst others like to get as big a tree as possible. Some people like traditional, others look for something unusual. Here are our top ten favourite artificial Christmas trees of all shapes, styles and sizes.
This eye catching pinecone Christmas tree from John Lewis is a bit quirky. The tabletop tree is made up of little pinecones and is 52cm tall. The pinecones really do look Christmassy and this is a great second tree or for if you don’t have room for a big one. The price is £30.
Not on the High Street can always be relied on to come up with something unusual. Their twig Christmas tree, at £22, is made from logs, wire and tree branches. It is probably the most simple tree you will find this year. The branches are moveable and there is a little carved wooden star on the top of the 50cm high tree.
Here’s a novel idea – grow your own Christmas tree. This one from Fabulicious is being marketed as the perfect gift for her. Everything you need is in the box including seeds, compost discs, starter growing pots and instructions. It is certainly a good idea for a present for the person who has everything. Price is £12.98.
For people who like white Christmas trees Peeks sells this white Alaskan fir tree for £106.80. Standing at 2.1 metres tall it is very authentic looking.
We do admit that this festive die cut pom pom tinsel tree is not the most traditional looking, but we did promise you variety in this list. Sold by House of Fraser, the 50cm high table top tree costs £7 and comes in four colours – lime/cerise, jade/fuchsia, purple/jade and purple/orange.
Another beautiful tabletop tree is this festive holly and gold tinsel pre lit tree from House of Fraser. Measuring 30cm tall the cut holly pine and gold tinsel tree is pre lit with twenty five warm white battery operated LED lights.
This is rather a novel idea from Balsam Hill – a flatback artificial Christmas tree. Not everyone has lots of room for a large tree and having one that will sit neatly in the corner, like this one, does come across as a very good idea. You are given the choice of height – from five foot to seven foot, prelit or unlit, with prices ranging from £79 to £179.
It is becoming common to decorate the outside of the house as well as the inside. We like this set of two light up pre lit artificial pine inddor/outdoor Christmas trees which Amazon sells for £49.99. Each tree sits on a firm and sturdy plant pot base and comes ready to be opened out.
Another great tree from Peeks is this indoor green frosted pre-lit tree. Costing £174 it is 1.8m tall and is lit up with 190 clear LED lights.
This is a rather authentic looking Christmas tree from the Garden Site website. The premier 90cm snow dusted downswept tree with LED lights can be used inside or outside the home and has forty white LEDs. The premier 90cm snow dusted downswept tree with LED lights costs £47.99.
